About Us

Future Leaders Working (F.L.W.) is a nonprofit organization that identifies, supports, and develops young parents in Mobile County and the City of Mobile. F.L.W. was formed in 2022 when there was a need recognized for a dedicated program assisting young parents in transitioning into administrative professionals in the workforce. F.L.W. members are committed to creating opportunities for our young parents by providing training, mentoring, and networking opportunities.

Future Leaders Working Academy 2.0 (FLWA 2.0) is more than job training — it’s your reset button.
It’s where parents who are tired of “just getting by” finally get the support, skills, and structure to build something better.

We know what it’s like to want more for yourself and your family. To want a career that pays well and gives you time to be present with your kids. That’s exactly why FLWA 2.0 was created — to open doors for parents ready to move from surviving to thriving.

Over the course of 15 weeks, you’ll train in both General and Construction Administration, learning everything from customer service and permit processes to project management and office systems. But we don’t stop at technical skills. We pour into your confidence, your leadership, and your mindset so you can walk into any space knowing you belong.

Each Saturday, you’ll show up at (a disclosed location to accepted applicants) from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and we’ll handle the rest — meals, materials, mentorship, and motivation. You’ll be surrounded by a supportive community that understands the balance between parenthood and purpose.

Earn While You Learn: Get paid $1,000 when you complete the program — because your time and effort deserve value.

Build Real Career Skills: Train for office and construction administration jobs that offer stability, benefits, and weekends off.
